The right kind of Running Music?

What many people don’t know though is that the correct type of Music must be selected for using music while running to be very effective.  Intuitively you might be abe to see this when thinking about a song with a slow beat, Songs with a slow beat would lead your body to subconsciously move slower, or at a different stride which would throw off your Running, and is not what we are looking for.  Another thing to consider is your specific physique, for example you may need a different beat than someone else because your stride is shorter or longer, Trial and error with in certain Beats Per Minute (BPM) to see which BPM is best for your Running Music.

So Essentially

  • The Beats Per Minute or speed of the song is important
  • You’ll need Different Beats Per Minute depending on which type of running you are doing (Long Distance or Sprinting)
  • Your stride length and physical health can have some role in which songs to select (this can only be done with Trial and Error).
